Voices for Change
Luncheon Fundraiser 1 Sept 2026
This September, in partnership with Western Sydney Women, we’re holding our Voices for Change Luncheon Fundraiser which will bring together women with lived experience, frontline practitioners, sector experts and compassionate supporters of social justice. Guests will enjoy lunch, connect with others and hear powerful stories from women who have experienced the criminal legal system, which too often fails women and girls.

WJN Launched in the ACT September 2025
We’re proud to announce that the Women’s Justice Network (WJN) has officially arrived in the ACT — bringing with us our proven, trauma-informed Mentoring Program to support women and girls rebuilding their lives after prison.
This is the first program of its kind in the ACT. And it’s only the beginning.
Making a Real Difference
WJN’s Mentoring Program is already changing lives inside and outside the Alexander Maconochie Centre. With the support of our dedicated volunteer mentors, we walk alongside women as they reconnect with community, regain their sense of self, and reclaim their stories.
No Woman has to Navigate This Path Alone
For women navigating the criminal law system, the path forward is rarely easy. But with WJN in their corner, they are not walking it alone. Through holistic case management and one-to-one mentoring, we help women break the cycles of trauma, addiction, and recidivism and move toward safer, more stable futures.
Building on Proven Success
Our arrival in Canberra builds on more than a decade of impact in NSW, and we’re here to replicate that success and create lasting change.
THE INTERCEPTORS, featuring the fabulous Les Gock will be rocking it again for WJN. All profits from the show will be donated to the Women’s Justice Network. Your support contributes to creating opportunities for women to rebuild their lives after incarceration.

Comedy for a Cause – August 2024
We partnered with Comedy for a Cause, for our first live event in 2024 bringing together comedians from Sydney and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals. The evening combined stand-up comedy, and a raffle draw of wonderful prizes kindly donated by the arts, sports, restaurants and fun & leisure businesses in NSW.
THE INTERCEPTORS – November 2023
The Interceptors, rocked for a good cause in November 2023 at the Paddo RSL donating proceeds to the Women’s Justice Network.
The INTERCEPTORS support charities through the power of music and features Les Gock from the legendary “Hush”, Tim Sprague (drums), Roger Brant (vocals/guitar), Ray Lee (keyboards/vocals), John Pearce (bass guitar/vocals) with special Guest Peter Northcote.

Black Tie StoryTime – March 2023
Held at the N.Smith Gallery in Paddington, Black Tie Story Time was an elegant evening of drinking, dancing, and entertainment aimed to help us get the FREADom Inside MyCause crowdfunding campaign over the line! THe event was hosted by Author Bri Lee (co-creator of the fREADom Inside project) with Guest Speakers Brooke Boney, Amy Remeikis and members of the Women’s Justice Network with lived experience of incarceration.
Art4Healing 2022
Art4Healing 2022 was a hybrid fundraiser consisting of a live event, online art auction and raffle draw. The event, held at The Gumbramorra Hall at Addison Road Community Centre, aimed to raise funds for WJN’s youth programs, Healing From Within and My Way Youth Mentoring. The event was made possible by the generous arts community who donated their artwork to be auctioned and the business community who donated prizes for our raffle draw. We also acknowledge the contribution of the women in prison who created artwork specifically for the event.
